| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | SL-68 Thoughts Took mine apart tonight and as I was cleaning, found a couple of Armson Barrels for an A5. I looked at the gap towards the bottom of the threads and noticed the gap was roughly the size of my SL barrel. So I put 2+2 together and gave it a shot. The barrel fit well but not as tight as I would have liked. Also the pump itself is too narrow. I need to find something a bit wider. Would a KP style pump work? I'm also starting to wonder about other A5 barrels, possibly filing off those threads and inserting the barrel end into the SL more. But I would need to secure it better. I see a large project coming along and a funky SL being the outcome. Your thoughts? |

| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | Yea, I saw that, but from what I'm looking at, the barrels that I may use such as the armson are fatter than the smooth ones the SL uses. So with that being said, I thought having an open pump arm, such as the KP style would allow the pumping action to work. |

| Supernatural Anaesthetist | You'd either need a 'round the barrel-type handle with a larger opening (not sure how wide the stock SL handle could be made) or an under-cocking type handle (like a Sniper - aka "pump cocker"), in which case you'd also need a pump guide rod of some kind. I don't believe I've ever seen an undercocking setup on an SL...that would be an interesting project. However, unless you really want something custom (and are willing to pay for it), it'd be less expensive to just find or have a barrel made to fit the SL and the stock SL pump grip. PPS will make one for it for around $50 and can add those magical widgets for an extra $15 (just think, no more rollouts!). |

| Post Whore Join Date: Apr 2006 | You might want to look at just having a nice barrel turned for an SL. I turned one of my old phantom barrels for my SL, I have to say that the CCI barrel accuracy lives up to its reputation even on another gun. Here is a link to more information. http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/St...opic=19715&hl= Last edited by Chemical-X; 02-05-2007 at 04:33 PM.. Reason: spelling correction. |

His I IIRC ened up having a "floating" pump ala CCM snipers. It looked kewl. There were some good pics on the Tinker's Guild a few moons ago... Catchya on the Flip Side..... Emerald Wolf -- keen beans.... |
