98C Flatline Foregrip

well, i'm going to be getting this in the mail soon

It has an aftermarket aluminum shroud for the top, but no foregrip.

without going too 'milsim' with this thing, i would like to try to get/make a nice foregrip for this.

I have two ideas for a good foregrip, one is to carve up a wooden foregrip and paint it/stain it, the second is to find a member here who has a mill and get them to make up a shroud lower out of sheet steel. basically milling oval vent holes in it and bending it to match the upper so that just a barrel tip comes out of it (to look like the upper reciever on a Barrett .50)

any thoughts?

Cut off your 98 foregrip and blend the barrel foregrip onto the marker covering up the location of the old foregrip. I think you can use a FAL barrel foregrip. I bought some used FAL wood furniture from Tappco for $10

Or just get some aluminum sheet (steel is a bitch to bend) and then drill and bend it your self. It can be cut with a cut-off wheel on a angle grinder and you can bend it with simple tools (yes nice expensive tools make it look better).
