| Seasoned Member Join Date: Jul 2006 | PKO well loosing most interest in finally finishing it up into an electronic pump I finally broke down and went mechanical. I had my drill press break the other day and it was what I was using as a mill so I haven't been able to to make a pump kit that really satisfies me yet and will probably be making an around the barrel kit tonight when I get done here. but anyway. with the crappy pump I rushed out the other night, it works but feels like crap. w/o the pump current mods that have been done to get it to work hammer turned down (thanks to randy and those that work with him even though he isn't on the forum) return spring removed and a new spring put into place to push forward sear added and grip frame mods for a return spring and to connect to the sear, probably not too visable but the new screw hole in the side of the bottom tube holds the sear. Had to mill out the slot in the bottom of the body and find new ways to hold the grip frame on (into the bottom of the ram and horizontally into the vert ASA). bolt slot and extras. that is one of edwins tribal bolts with some extra work and mods. for lack of a better name I have dubbed it the quater-back block. also a few internal mods but nothing too major. Turned a small delin plug with an o-ring to stop leaking out of the front volumizer where it is now drilled and threaded. This has already been replaced with a new volumizer for use with the around the barrel pump handle that I should be making tonight if I get around to it. It is currently shooting rather nicely below 200PSI and even down to 0 PSI I have not encountered problems with the valve sticking open so it should be able to shoot whatever velocity I feel like which was a worry of mine. I want to be able to get it under 200FPS for playing reball. Currently it still shoots well over 300 FPS at around 200 PSI and I have messed around with adjustable regs but I just don't have one of my own to put on it at this point.

When the bolt is pulled/pushed back, the old quick strip/connecting pin catches onto the lip of the hammer/striker. As the hammer reaches the back of its travel the sear latches onto the lip from the bottom and the bolt is free to return forward. When the bolt is back forward and the trigger is pulled, the sear will let go of the hammer and it will be pushed forward by the spring in the ram and it will then strike the valve which will open and release the air to propell the ball.
