| Rec Poster Join Date: Aug 2006 | Timmy framed Model 98 project This is a project I have wanted to do for a while and that I’m just not getting around to. I went with a Timmy frame just because they are easy to find, I have several triggers for them, and they will fit what I want in the frame. Here is a list of what I am using for this project Model 98 (bought back in 1998…this is my first gun actually) 2k2 Timmy frame Predator 2 board (5.0 programming. Came out of my now DMC framed Dye angel) Timmy solenoid 2-way’d GTA e-bolt GTA LPR This project may take a while as I just work on it when I can and I’m not in a huge rush to finish it. The work done so far (as of 3/1/07)…Also the days are not consecutive. Day 1 (frame hacked off, bottom smoothed out, front grip rounded) ![]() Day 2 (Bottom of gun cut to allow the on/off switch and solenoid to fit once the frame is fitted) ![]() Day 3 (Electronics soldered and fitted……also known as the giant mess in a grip frame) ![]() Day 4 (Bottom section of body milled to allow the frame to fit) ![]() ![]() ![]() That’s it so far. I just ordered the Aluminum for the custom frame side plates I’m going to be making (that is how the frame will be held onto the body) I’m also waiting on the e-bolt to get here to find out what I will need to mod in order for it to fit properly. I was going to ace it but I have decided not to do that as of now, I might decide to do it at a later date but for now she will be blind with the board set to 15bps. P.S. I will update this thread as the project moves on.
