Dyeing a Proteus - questions!

So, I have this clear Proteus, and I don't want it to be clear. A dark smoke would suit my purposes better (but not Dark Smoke Puncher, for you Dr. McNinja fans). Anyone have any advice as to what to use? I've modded guns, but never dyed a mask before.

The dyeing process is pretty easy.

You'll need to pick up some liquid RIT dye from your local Walmart. They sell it in the laundry detergent isle. Id get a few bottles due to fact that your dyeing such a large item. Next place the mask (minus everything you dont want to dye ie foam, lense, ect) in a large pot. Pour the dye in the pot and fill the rest up with water. Next place the pot on the stove and lightly simmer the contents for roughly an hour or until the desired color is achieved. Its important to keep your eye on the pot so it does'nt boil over. Keep some bleach handy and make sure that the pot your using is'nt one you plan on using again for cooking purposes. Once you have finished boiling the mask give it thourough rinse in the sink.
