PGP specs?

could somone give me the specs for a pgp body? im in welding school and have just gotten pretty good with stainless. i was thinking of tiging up a pgp body for a prodject and then buying some guts and a frame to put in/on it. somwhere back on the old site i thought there were specs but i cant seem to find them on the new one.
also would the distortion from welding the two tubes together be a problem? i just thought of that and was thinking maybe to put the unit on pulse to avoid it...

Make a run by PGPOG and look around, I'm sure the specs have been posted there on and off....

As far as TIGing the body....I think the heat would be too much and distort the tube. You'd be better off silver soldering the tubes together....Unless, you cut up a stainless steel barrel. Some of them are pretty thick, and just might take the heat....The lower tube is something like 7/8" OD and 3/4" ID....Don't quote me on that....

Catchya on the Flip Side.....

don't run one long seam between the tubes. small welds in 3-4 locations on each side should be fine and will reduce any distortion.

You could also do something like what the 007 has; cut a piece of sheet metal, bend it and run it down the seams. Instead of a spot weld, drill a hole in the sheet metal and weld around the inside. It will be easier to get the torch in and you wont need as much heat to try and get your fill rod in and bridging the gap between tubes.

I have my PGP here at work along with my Calipers:

Top tube
Length: 8"
OD: .813
ID: .751

Middle tube
Length: 8.75
OD: .815
ID: .686

Bottom tube
Length: 8.375
OD: .877
ID: .775

I can get a 3D file and a dimensioned drawing to you by Sunday Night.

Just be carefull that you don't put the sheet metal where the pump needs to ride (limit it to the back half of the lower tube).
