Custom Phantom Build Up... Need Input.

Hey guys, I've been hanging around here for awhile, read alot, but haven't posted till now...

Alright, here's what's going down... I'm starting up a small custom parts shop, primarily for CCI Phantoms. And I've got a million and one ideas. So I've decided to build up a custom Stock Class Phantom to kind of get the ball rolling. We'll, I received my shiney new Phantom today, and I'm psyched. I purchased the one with vertical 12 gram quick change, .45 grip, stock class feed tube, etc. I'll try and get pictures up this week.

Back to business, basically I'm looking for ideas, etc. of what to do with my CCI Phantom. I'm focused on having a Ghost Ring, Stock, and Custom Under-Cocking Pump, custom trigger. As for what I have at my disposal, just about everything. I own a 10x50" Sharp LMV 3hp Knee Mill, and another small lath and mill. I also work at a shop that builds firearms for the military, etc. So we have plenty of machining equipment there as well.

Basically, short and simple, I'm asking you guys to help me design one really nice looking Phantom.

Here's what I've come up so far with, this is a concept of what the Ghost Ring may look like, it'll be machined into 6061 aluminum along with the Horizontal feed adapter.

(right now my image server isn't working, I'll try and get the CAD drawings up soon of Ghost Ring)

And for the trigger, I'm looking into machining one similar to many match grade triggers found on Kimber 1911's.

The stock and pump, I'm kind of at a lost for, seen alot of good ones, but havent really came up with some that I think will work really well.

Thanks for the help.

Might want to fix your links.

As far as Ideas go, the trigger would look cool but more suited to a slide frame. And very well suited at that.

Hmm, how about working up a slide frame for a phantom?

Its always nice to see new minds in the custom business.

I'm gonna stick with the hinged style trigger for now, I'll machine a custom one out of stainless steel and drill three holes to give it the same general look... But that's not a bad idea, making a phantom slide frame.

On another note, I switched over Image Hosting Servers to a new one, so here are the current designs for ghost ring setup.

So what do you guys think, any suggestions?

Interesting. Don't see too many out there like that. I'm assuming that the block is the SC feed block, right? One idea might be to make an adjustable sight post that you can adjust with the opening in the top of the ring. Or, uh, something like... well, Ill 'Paint' it up real quick.

Not a bad idea, I've been thinking about it, add a small 3" picatinny rail to the pump.

Think undercocking with the drilled out space for a decent sized mag or LED light.

Picatinny rail on the pump handle is just not the most comfortable thing to hold on to while pumping, a better way to go is either a non-movable vertical grip or tactical light.

Thanks for the comments, yeah, I could definitly see a picatinny rail being kind of a pain when pumping...

The feed block has gone under some modifications... Here's the current design...
