| Rec Poster Join Date: Mar 2007 | Customizing a Spyder Victor? I'm pretty new to the customizing scene. I have a 98 Custom that I've done some milling on, polished internals, installed a center feed, etc. That's about the extent of my customizing so far. I have an old Spyder Victor. It was my first gun when I got back into paintball after an extended hiatus. It works just fine, and makes a great backup gun or a loaner when a friend wants to play. But for the most part it just gathers dust in my closet. I thought it might be fun to play with, since, if I really mess something up, it's no big loss. That sorta makes it the ideal custom project gun. Thing is, I have no access to machine tools other than simple files and a dremel. I also don't have a lot of money to spend on parts. So the question is, is there anything I can do to with my old Victor to make it a better shooter? Like, I know with the 98's there's a multitude of mods that you can do by yourself for little to no money to speed them up. Can you do the same with Spyder Victors? |

By the time they start shooting *much* different than a spring kit can make them, you could buy a more expensive marker. Or, if you just like tinkering for it's own sake... (bored showing-off) ![]() Turn it into a pneumatic-assist pump with a back block and a 'cocker-threaded feedneck. There's nothing on there (aside from the custom reg cap and perhaps the back block) you can't do with a Dremel, a couple taps, and a torch and aluminum solder or generous amounts of JB Weld.
