My poor Rainmaker has been sitting on my work bench nonfunctional for a long time (2-3 years now) and for what ever reason I decided to dust it off a couple weeks ago. One of the things I wanted to do was to make a new one piece front block and frame adapter. While the two piece frame adapter and front block I
had on there worked well enough I just wasn't completely happy with it for some reason. So I sketched out some basic dimensions and went to town on the mill.
This was by far the most milling intensive part I've made thus far and was a good challenge of my limited skills. I wouldn't hesitate to say I have 10-12 hours of design and machine time in it.
All I have left is to make a new delrin bolt and wire everything up. I picked up a 2k7 Chaos board for the project (thanks again Goldie!). I haven't decided if I want to install eyes on it or not. I'll have to take some measurements and see if I could come up with some decent looking eye covers.
