| Custom User Title | New to Customizing Well, I'm new to the whole "custom" customizing deal. I mean, actually customizing, not just slapping a few aftermarket parts on a marker and calling it custom. And I need a few tips, and what not...if you'd be so kind. Anyways...I picked up a old wood stock, a couple years ago. From the looks of it, it was a bolt action stock. I also have a RF Autococker that I would like to fit into the stock. Though I haven't the slightest idea of how to do it...and make it actually work lol. I have never used a dremel, though I have just recently aquired one. when I do manage to remove enough of the stock to put the mag inside it, what sort of techniques, or what not can I use to secure it down? There's two holes, almost on either side of the stock, one I was thinking of using a long thumb screw (which I was wondering anyone that would be able to make, or point me in the direction of a longer thumbscrew...about an inch longer than the stock), that I'd be able to hold down the rear of the marker to the stock. Byut to hold down the front end, I'm completely lost. I'm open to suggestions, of any kind. If needed, I can get some pictures of both the stock, and the marker. Though mind you, all I have is a crappy camera phone lol.

| MCB Member | There have been both Automag and Sniper "wood" conversions. Just recentley someone here was showing off the half-block sniper that they converted to bolt-action and mounted in a stock, it was great! If you're going the easy route, the Automag is a wonderful specimen because the entire body can take up just one tube. I've done somthing like this myself, soon to be viewable as an entry in our "MCB Winter Woodworking Project"; though with a completley different marker. III

| Active Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Denver, Colo. | I think the best way to mount most markers into stocks is to have bolts from the bottom, and use the old grip frame screw holes...Mags not only have the advantage of being 1 tube, they also have the easiest to adapt trigger hardware... Cockers/Sheridans require getting the right trigger group, to doing some major fabbing...(Unless you want a stock that has a bottom pistol grip, ala FN rifles) Catchya on the Flip Side..... Emerald Wolf -- Hmmm...just had an idea.... |

| Custom User Title | Yeah, I was thinking of just using the pistol grip for mine. I personally like the feeling of that more. Though...setting it up like a 'real' rifle, at some point down the line is a definate possiblity. Thanks
