| Bleh. Help fix my mini-revy. I recently tore apart my mini-revy I had sitting around, in light of Drum wanting to know about small hoppers.
Well, I was in an attempt of repositioning things, and fashioning an actual case for it, when it decided to die.
After stripping EVERY SINGLE PART, looking for chipped or melted solder, scarred wires, loose stuff, or burnt objects, I located the problem at the "eyes".
I am unsure which sensor it is, but, one of them is throwing the other off, and only works without the black bracket that secures it normally on the feedneck. I have to toggle around with the lights first, then it will work if I lay it flat down on the table and cuff my hands over it (apparently IR sensors dont like light...).
Anyways, on the lighter looking one, that is more of a smoke color, there is a tiny chip on the front of the bulb. The black one is in perfet condition, but likes to work without that little rubber sleeve that is normally on it.
Which one should I replace? And what should i replace it with? I cant justify ripping apart my good revy, or simply just using the "eye" assembly, and leaving it bare, having to swap the part back onto it should I need a good bulk, motorized loader.
How do I go about fixing this? I may end up scrapping a few parts that ViewLoader made stock on the thing, since it's a 12v, and I need to save as much space as possible when making the case, to still have room for batteries.
I can get pics if needed.
