How many more shots could you have gotten with a 0.683 bore barrel?

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Liquid CO2 was discussed earlier in the project. I'm still dabbling in it for constant air use especially in the winter months but it was determined that 12 gram cartridges do not have enough liquid CO2 in them to make this setup work efficiently.

Also if you are using 12s and wanting to use liquid (which is by far the way to be most consistent) you would need to mount the 12 with the bottom pointed up and have the whole thing above the valve. This would put it in the sight line unless you have a top tube Nelspot and have the 12 at the rear.

Food for thought: I think that in reallity bassically nearly all SC markers (which do not using reg) using liquid CO2 in some way - there is not exact border between gas / liquid CO2 in most of SC markers. Imho you should see "Liquid CO2" not like water, but more like vapour. Human beings know thier world, but the world hidden in the pressured marker is different story - the pressure here is ~50x times stroger than atmospheric pressure. The physic laws working there a little different than we are familiar with them.

Fair enough. What we looked into was using liquid in the same mannor as Z's where the valve is flooded. Not simply still having unexpanded liquid in the gas when it hits the valve.

There just isn't enough liquid in the cartridge for that.

This is a simple enough theory to test. Use a VSC Phantom. Test its consistency right side up and then flip it up side down and test it. Use one 12gram to dial in the FPS to a standard. Change to a new cartridge and start the test. Repeat this for both sides and then post the results.

Line of sight does not have to be an issue either. The vertical phantom design could be modified with a bracket and longer tube to keep the look and feed liquid CO2. Granted it would loose efficacy filling the tube as apposed to having the cartridge right behind the valve but aesthetics sells.

Its been a while since I've visited this thread. Who is making new and improved parts and selling them? Who has done testing and brought data to share. I've seen pages of mathematical formulas, theories and arguments on why that principal applies or doesn't. Sorry, but those pages just don't interest me. I want something that I can put in my Phantom to make it better.

If possible can we modify or update the 1st or second post with hyper links to post with parts, drawings and test data.

No one is making and selling anything to the best of my knowledge.

I'm still very interested in doing this even though it has lost most if not all it's steam.

Linking milestones back to the first post is going to take some work and I can't start on it myself until Monday but if others want to help by adding permalinks to parts the can find quick and think should be there it could speed up the process.
