Quite frankly, this post seemed to have the most unrealized promise for me (all things considered in this thread).

1. Economical.
2. Drops into a Phantom.
3. Drops into a Phantom so it has a fairly wide user base. Combine that with its economy in production, someone *cough*Lurker*cough* could make it and make a profit off it.
4. I save a bit of money on 12's, the producer makes mad cash so he can swim like Scrooge McDuck, and the Phantom becomes an even more sought after pump.

......or something like that.

That being said, I'm quite intrigued by the prototype Yoda whipped up. I think it has merit.

It seems to me, as a consumer looking at the Dealer/machinist threads, that the magic "run number" for profitability seems to be ~25 for larger items (ie. Dukie's latest lever, Xmagterror 'mag bodies, etc) to ~50 for smaller items (ie. mech Ion kits, Shocker bolts, etc). I firmly believe that a 50 run of drop in Phantom setup that could consistently get 40-50+ shots at around 275fps would sell quite well.

I would propose this timeline for anyone considering it.
1. Prototype by June, '14
2. Test/tweak until Aug., '14
3. Prototype fix until Oct., '14
4. Final tweaks by Dec., '14
5. Final testing Jan., '15
6. Public media release in Feb., '15
7. Public goes bananas, gets tax return in March/April, run gets sold out.
8. Profit.

Take this timeline with a bag of salt as I have, admittedly, no practical experience in the production side of things. If it's unreasonably short, just set tax time 2016 as your target and double the timeline.

We seem to be on juuuuuust the cusp of putting out a product on this. Let's not throw in the towel now.

I have money waiting.

As mentioned before. I'm willing to put my time and Money where my mouth is on this one. I just have no interest in buying a new gun at this point, I want to improve on the ones I have.

I will be having time to play with this soon. I can also produce drop in kits once we all settle on what's needed.

High pitched, jpop fan-like squeals erupted throughout the lands.

I'd like to take charge of the design and specs. Open source engineering drawings done proper... But the design will need to be finalized and verified in proper testing. I can draw up the various ideal configs but have limited time to build em. Testing I can do. Will work on drawings asap

I play often enough that I could do testing every weekend or in my basement since I have reballs

So are these drawings going to be to some Canuck spec? I work to ASME y14.5-2009. But I also can read napkin doodles. Make the drawings and I'll make some parts up.

I took a rather extensive quarter on true view/shape and descriptive geometry.
