KP Conversion Question

KP Conversion Question:

I was looking for some blue streak parts and I came across this:
https://www.pneudart.com/products.ph...1&product_id=5

It is a .50 tranquilizer airgun made by Crosman/Sheridan. Plus it is CO2 powered.
The company is called Pneu-Dart, but Crosman makes the rifles for them.

I was wondering how hard would it be to convert to a .68 pump KP. or maybe a .50 kp. hihihi

What do you guys think? Price is right. Only $265. Half of what kp rifles are going on ebay right now.

Yes, I know it is the wrong trigger group, but might be fun to tinker with.

The Stock could be milled out a bit to accept Normal KP Guts. Would cost a pretty penny from PPS, if they would even accept it. Then would have to be refinished if cutting was extensive. But that Tranq. Gun's Barrel Bore is .50 - for conversion to .68, you would have to Rebarrel the whole thing. May as well just have PPS build you a Painter, or KP moch up innards. And that would be a nice cost right there as well.

Thats why KP2's and 3's just sits nicely at $350-400. Sometimes come with extra parts and such. Take a look around Ebay and other current forums. I've kept a rough est. tracking in the last couple months of how many KP's have gone up for sale on the net - almost at 12+ to be modest.

Why would it need KP guts?

If you re barrel it in .68, nd keep it bolt action, you have yourself a newer version of a K2

BretG built one of his rifles off of a BS model F, same idea.

It would just be a pain if you wanted to automate it ala hurricane.

Thank Azzy.

That is the same thing I was thinking.

That's based on the Crosman 2260 pellet gun, just different barrel/breech assembly. My plan is to do close to the same thing but with a Crosman 2240 pistol.

Interesting. Think they'd work as-is with .50 cal paint?

Wouldn't it be plausible to just shoot .50 paint out of it instead?... *shrug* Just a thought...that would shave off a lot of the price tag, I would think. You'd just have to look for it.
