| Red=Moderator Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Schen. NY | Checkering is done with a tool that has basically, a very tiny wedge shaped chisel on it.... you can get tools with one blade or several. You then push the blade along the wood and it cuts the pattern. Runa pass at a different angle and you get the "checker". Now none of that is as easly done as said... your lines all have to be straight (and you are following a countour) and then you have to get your angle correct for the checkering cuts.... again there are contours. All in all pretty impressive stuff! Another great looking stock BB.... sooooo jealous of your ability! E
