Reg screw problem

I can't get one of the input screws out of my Torpedo reg. I've already taken out the other input screw, but this one won't budge at all. Am I supposed to take the whole thing apart or what?

FYI.. the other "input" hole isnt one... ITs an output for a gauge or what ever else... if you put your air line into that you will direct full tank presure into your gun.

I know that one of them is a gauge port and the other is an input. I'll have an LPR on the gauge port, so it won't be a big deal. Thanks for the info though.

I still can't get it. I tried WD-40ing around the screw to loosen it up but it won't budge at all. Am I missing something here?

If it's loctited into place, you'll most likely have to heat it up with a torch to weaken the loctite. Either that or stick it into a vice and muscle it out.

Be very careful if you're going to heat it up. Make sure to take all of the internals out and go slow and carefully.

Ok. I've never taken that screw out. I bought it bnib, so does the company loctite the screws?

Most do, IIRC.

If you can get the internals out, you might try boiling it if you're not comfortable torching it.

I've always just put them in a vice with padded jaws, slipped a pipe over the long end of a hex key and yanked.

At least with PB gear, I've yet to find one loctited badly enough to bring the threads out with it.
