Brasso question

Well, I picked up another KP rifle and need to clean the inside of the barrel. Is using Brasso on the interior the way to go, or should I try another method? I'm avoiding my flex-hones.

Brasso works great on polishing the inside of brass barrels.

I've had good luck with Brasso and a 12-gauge swab from a cleaning kit.

I've had good results with brasso, polishing rags, a wooden dowel and a power drill.

Brasso is crap. I hate that stuff. Do yourself a favor and get some Flitz metal polish. It's a far superior product and works on all metals.

Never dull or Cape cod cleaner work so much better if it has minor scratches use Top brite then the others I listed.

Sliver cleaner will also do in a pinch use a good brand do not cheap out on sliver cleaner.

I second the opinion on the brasso. there are plenty of other polishes out there that work better. I'm personally allergic to that nasty foul compound. This is due to getting plenty of over exposure while in the Navy. The Navy's motto, if its brass, polish it over and over and over.

I use wenol on my brass. Basically some good brass polish and whatever actual polishing "media" i guess is best.

I use the LONG 12 gauge cleaning rod like 3 feet i think? Its a big cotton covered rod that fits tight and i just put the whole gun body or barrel around it with polish and slide it up and down for a while. Turns the brass almost white.

Hmm, I guess I won't get the Brasso and just use the Flitz. I think I still have a tube of it somewhere around here. I'm off to polish the inside of my brass...now that sounds painful.
