UPDATE:
The motor has arrived... now to rig up a little circuit and eye system!

As far as design. I have transferred all pieces over to Autodesk Inventor, and am currently working on animating the gear system to test it out. the assemblys almost complete aswell!

Inventor should make life a little easier than doing 3d AutoCAD. It's been a long time (11 years) but I remember Inventor having a pretty decent animation function.

Inventor is my preferred program to use for all CAD, its very user friendly and is only limited by the hardware of the system its running on.

You still need those A5 sprocket axle dimensions? I'm getting a set of calipers in the next few days, lemme know if i can help!

that was the only folder that i could make shareable. let me get the last few bugs in her worked out and then sharing will commence.

looks very nice. simple but elegant. worm gear on the motor looks like a great idea since the gears wouldn't strip as easily. are you putting a tray over the motor/gear area or just having balls etc cover them?

There is a tray indeed. Its actually there but the material is glass so its hard to see but its there.
