using the soda with water i take it?
I have removed paint with acetone and other mild chemicals.
Blasting works well with fresh milling to even everything out before paint or powder coating and removing jacked up hard finishes that cant be stripped chemically, other than acid dipping.
sampleeices were different colors...stripped

than re-finished

I need to get these parts prepped for anno and the surface is in shotty condition. There is discoloration and a bit of powdercoat still left over (black spots). How much to blast the body and a 2 or 3 small pieces?

Just an FYI.

I was using my media blast cabinet on some steel parts prior to Dura Coating them. I then blasted some aluminum pieces prior to ano....well the ano was supposed to be solid OD, but turned out with yellow colored streaks in it. I think the steel particles in the blast media embedded into the aluminum and caused the discoloration when the ano bath.

Thankfully the owner liked the look after ano, even though it was unintended.

I have to laugh at using Garnet. As far as media goes it like one of the hardest. Phantom yea alum and steel is touchy to blast. I have 5 years in sales media blasting abrasive industry. This guy still blasting parts?
