Pneu-framed AR-1 (Wrath of God?)

Always a good time at Adam45's shop...

This was actually a pretty major firepower upgrade as the stock electronics just plain didn't work. I am so going to play a game with this.

Hey that came out well. I notice your maniacal laughter at the end of the vid got cut off ???? So a little more micro line and a grip frame and your all set, or maybe you want to run that as is?

Love pneu projects. I'm looking for a subject for another one in the near future. I'm going to make a pulse valve for this one though.

Good start. Cram it in the frame and go shoot.

Nice work Russ. Pneuframes are fun for things that people were insistent for years couldn't be done.

Make sure you post about it, I still haven't gotten anybody who's built one to tell me how well they work yet, and I still haven't made one yet.

That's awesome Russc.
Any issues of shoot down at higher cps?

I might try this.
Will it also work with a Wrath or Slayer?

It should work on both of those guns. As for shoot down, yes, there's quite a bit since we're powering a decently big ram against a spring and valve and it doesn't reset to a ready position until you let go. You need to get a full press and release, compared to something like a pneumag where you are just tripping a sear, which resets automatically.

This design will probably be quite limited in BPS.

So if you hold the trigger (switch?) down, does it hold the valve open?

It sort of bounces on the valve and farts a bit as it fights against the FASOR ram return spring.

Next time it's apart, take the valve and return springs to a hardware store and see what they have that is similar. I added a lighter ram spring and found 2 valve springs that were on either side of stock. I ended up leaving in the stock valve spring as with a lighter ram and return spring the regs could be tuned to get one shot but then no smaller pops when the trigger was held.
