Okay okay hate me I had to put that up.

For once ECAP's project gun boxes are empty of customers stuff. So Ive taken on another freakshow of a job.......

A brass bodied cocker threaded double barreled stock class sniper.

Oh and there will be two... One for me, and another for my friend WikkidSikk on here. The brass is in the work starts this week for the most part the bodies will be clones but they way we set them up will be unique to the owners.

Now just to find a shop to thread the upper tubes for me, my lathe cant do threading to well, and I dont want to buy the taps... takers?

Dude buy the tap ( no S ) It will cost half as much as getting someone to set up that piece (twice!) to single point those on a lathe. That is provided you have a full size mill and not a desktop. Your not going to power tap that in a benchtop or drill press.

Do you have a design, just going to wing it, or soliciting ideas? I've got one that I modeled up a while ago if you want to see something for ideas.

Design is set... I just changed it from unibody to cocker threaded.

Actually set for a WHILE. The Imperial my steampunk build was going to be double barreled but I spazed in the last machining run and neglected to set the angle of the vice for the first barrel notch cut.... so I ended up making it a single.

4 hours of work later.....

Raw stock

Blanked out upper tubes and lower tubes.

And wikkidsikk enjoying the fumes coming off like 5 pounds of brass chips and coolant.

Taps are getting ordered.... milling hotwork and other stuff left to be done.
