Simple one way standalone solenoid

I am creating a paintball gun over my many spare hours over this coming winter however I have come across one major problem. I need a solenoid that is capable of operating without a separate board being I have not the ability to create one yet I still need to be able to install a micro switch and change dwell.

All it has to do is route air straight through on command. I pull the trigger and it lets one burst of air through to the other side without issue.

I put the same question up at TechPB but all I got was a bulky autococker upgrade and not a standalone solenoid.

I have no idea how you would accomplish what you're saying but I'd suggest starting with the Parker and Clippard catalogs.

The only way you're going to be able to set a static dwell electronically is to use a board. It might not be an entire board, but there will still need to be a digital circuit which times the dwell.

If you don't care what the dwell is, then that's easy, but you don't even need a solenoid, you can do that with a mechanical valve.

Look for a cheap fasor to take for parts. It has a single acting 3 way which is what you need, and a board. Some one on here picked up a whole skid of draguns or rex type r's or similar and is selling them cheaply. You aren't going to find an electric solenoid that has controllable dwell built into it. At least not one small enough to fit into a paintball marker.

Alternativly. You could machine a pulse valve from the specs that yoda posted on here and it would do everything you want while being entirely mechanical. Including adjustable dwell.

Use any '3-way' solenoid that allows you to plug it's idle output relief.

Input pressure into the idle output.
Connect a holding chamber to the 'input'.
Connect the 'energized' output to your application.

Gas pressure enters and is transferred into the holding chamber. Once activated the input is turned off and the chamber dumps its contents out other port.

If operating pressure/volume is low, you can use the highest pressure rating of the solenoid and a smaller chamber volume. This also speeds up the reaction time. If your operating volume need is very low, you might only need to plug the input line.

Actually, I thought about it and since I am building this marker I can do whatever the hell I want lol. I want a board now but something small for operating a solenoid yet adjustable, any board/solenoid combo recommendations I can get with a micro switch? Bonus points if it can take eyes
