What kind of wood is that? the grain is beautiful!

Thank you all for the nice compliments. I did put a few extra hours into this one and enjoyed every minute. It was a smooth build all the way though.
The stock is a standard KP stock that I received in poor condition. The grip area had been filed flat to about 1" thick and there was a drop out notch on the left side and the end (tip) had been notched open for a silver streak quick release. I used Minwax high performance wood filler to repair all and then went walz out on the stain.
As to what to do with it now that Kit is gone I'm not sure as I KNOW I don't need another one. (I have way-way to many markers as it is, I'm in the 3 digit area-I know I know).

WALZ, You've outdone yourself. That stock is absolutely beautiful, and the brasswork is fantastic!
