Clip-Fed Ion

Instead of reviving my old thread, I'll just start a new one. It's not complete but it's peicing together.
On to the pictures.

I had planed on making a mag fed ion for a first strike rifle i drew up my idea for a mag well on google scetchup

my idea was to have it mount to the ion body with 2 screws or just be epoxied to the body.

I have since lost interest and If the interest arises again I will probably use tpx mags in an adapter.

i dont know if you have it planned out or not If you know how your going to feed it (ignore my post) If you dont maybe this can give you an idea.

freak1- That's a good idea. Id use first strikes, but my field doesn't allow them. Im going to make a clip that fits in the feedneck by friction then use magnets to hold the clip in place.

Punisher068- The hoses are going to be hidden by a top rail i'm gonna make. The board is going in the grip, and the solenoid is going in a trigger assembly i'm gonna make. The ASA is going to be in a back pack pouch and instead of on the gun. That way I don't have to buy a remote line.

Nice, pretty clean so far. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished magazine feed.

Alright, ran into a snag. I was trying to remove the micro switch so I could run wires from the micro switch to the board. That didn't work. Can anyone pull off my old micro switch for me, then run like 6" of wire from the micro switch to the board? Also can anyone remove the on/off for me and connect like 12" of wire from the board to the on/off? If so shoot me a pm, ill provide the parts and throw a little cash your way.

On the side note- gonna start my mag well tomorrow.

Use a bolt that doesn't have a tail and you don't have to worry about puncturing that section.

L7, Unicorn, Hollowpoint could all be modified very easily to work with it bolted through that point.
