Hi guy, I am trying to mount a TM series Rip Clip on a Warp Left Tac One or a Warp Left ULE body.

If anyone has done this before, please give me some tips/advise.

thanks

I've got a similar project floating around...

One extremely notable issue is that the ON button is located on the back face of the rip clip in the right hand position.

When you reverse the RC to fit on the left side, the button faces forward, as an invitation to being shot and damaged.

Yeah, I was considering getting a warp right instead of a warp left to take care of this issue. But my strong said is my right side..

My biggest problem is making a bracket to fit in between the rip clip and the body. I would have to cast the bracket to make the contours.

Another thought was I could make some kind of a plastic pipe hanger and clamp the top of the body to secure the rip clip with a couple screws.

I know a guy who can rapid prototype your bracket for you. Just draw it up.

Do you know if that would be costly? I was thinking about casting a mold so if people want this kind of bracket in the future, I can duplicate it.

Someone's done it to a Tac-one on here: adam45

Pic Thread:Tac-one/Mini-Tac, Picture Thread
PM him for details... he says he did it without any additional brackets.

It would definitely be cheaper than casting. But obviously not as strong as aluminum.

We're talking sub-$50... Probably sub-30. It all depends on cubic inches. And also repeatable. But if you planned on investment casting, you would do well to start with a rapid prototyped part first, anyway.
