I wouldn't have one operate the way an MQ does, but doing something similar is relatively trivial. It's how I did my mechanical Aedes, essentially make the lower tube the same as my closed bolt ions but with a valve body instead of a powertube. Can be done with or without isolating the dump chamber as long as it is dwell controlled with either a solenoid as a pilot or a pulse valve.

Necro threading

Rise....Rise!!!! So I was reading this thread and I though why not use a flat faced bolt to keep the ball stack more vertical? You wouldn't have to worry about rollback/ ball clipping and you could cut back on the bolt travel distance

Believe me... Roll back is *NOT* the issue.

The issue relates to bolt speed. I have been working with someone who has intimate knowledge of this system, and they have come to the same, independent, conclusion.

hey Ty, any progress on project angry stripper?

Any yeah, the common design everyone knows for the Aedes flat out doesn't work. We have another design that we're a LOT more hopeful with getting worked out.

I stubbed my toe on the bag it is in the other day... Does that count?

There are a few drawings, but I need some time in the shop and this is the busy season at work... All the way through December
