Official Custom/Restoration Pre 2-K Build-Off Rules thread

1) The marker entered must have been produced before 2000. (i.e. the entry marker is 7 years or more old)

2) All restoration/custom work with the exception of powdercoat and anodizing must be performed by the entrant.

3) The contest will begin September 1st, 2007 and end September 30th 2007.

4) All entries must have a "before" photo as well as "after" photos. We have to see how much of a change you've been able to make.

5) The winners will be chosen from a public vote. All entries will be entered in both categories; Best Resurrection and Best in Show. Best Resurrection will be for the marker that looked worst to begin with, and has shown the most improvement. Best in Show will be the marker that looks the best overall. It's possible to win both categories, but everyone will hate you if you do.

6) Winners will be awarded bragging rights as well as a "MCB Custom/Restoration Build-Off 2007" t-shirt in their choice of sizes up to 2-X (can't guarantee one any bigger, but we'll try if necessary), as well as any other old school gear that has been donated to the game.

Hmmm. Would it be a good idea to post the 'before' before we actually start on it, or wait until everything's done to save bandwidth?

Nah.. Don't worry about bandwidth here. Or at least I don't yet...

Post the pics so we know what we're up against

And no old switcheroo's... Let us see the serial number if there is one on the gun.

I've got an idea... I'm jumping into this too.

If is had a serial, I've forgotten it. :P

Heck, it's desoldered now. That pic's actually better than the poor thing right now.

Those with weak stomachs should now avert their eyes. Young children should be sent out of the room, lest the very sight of the following freak of nature haunt them for the rest of their lives. Those with weak hearts or high blood pressure should consult a physician before viewing.

You have been warned...

Disclaimer: While I do know the man who created this crime against tinkering, I had no part in anyway in it's making.
I'll have to finish the half backing process (and make a new rear bumper), machine away all the 'carving', unjam the bolt, swap the grip frame for a better one, find a barrel, and just maybe make it funtional.

Oh, and the wire detent and single finger trigger makes this around late 99 vintage, making it just under the wire for age requirements if I'm not mistaken.
