Dummy 12 gram

I need to build a dummy 12 gram.
I have a BT one in my hand. The question I have is does it have to be a certain strength aluminum to use?

Here is my idea:
TPIX, you have to have a 12 gram in it to use a remote line or it will just flow past the pierce pin. I want to put the 12 gram threw the remote adapter using a 12 gram quick change.

I want to put a dummy 12 gram that is solid. Really all I want to do is to stop the flow of co2 from coming out when the remote is put on. So I figured if I built a dummy 12 gram that was solid except say 1/4 of an inch from the pierce pin. That would stop the flow of co2 from the remote line.

Any thoughts on this? Am I looking at this the right way?
What would someone else do in this case?

Thankx

That's a great Idea, I never thought about it.
Could I not just tap the brass end and plug it?
I could lock tite the plug in and it will never leak.

Now the gears are rolling.

I don't remember anything on the 12g side being threaded. It's been a while since I sold mine though. Making the rod was the easiest option for me at the time, but there is probably more than one solution.

What I am talking about tapping is the other end of the brass square piece where the remote screws into. Do you have to have the rod that goes from there to the trigger piece? it should stay together with out it, I would assume.
