Annoed tanks?

I've seen lots of photos of people get their tanks annoed to match their gun. is there any restrictions to this? or what would one need to do to get a tank annoed? main reason i'm asking is cuz i would love to run a 22ci/3000psi tank on my phantom but i hate the look of the all black tank with my gloss black/blue acid wash phantom. any help would be awesome. I hear that Mike from CCI isn't taking custom jobs any more so does anyone know where I could get stuff annoed to match a black and blue acid wash phantom from CCI?

I don't know how accurate that is... I've never seen an anodized tank as far as I know. The tanks are powder coated so you'd have to strip that as well.

Not on it's own but I'd assume it would be the process of stripping the powder coat.

The middle one is a 22ci. Not my guns BTW.

This one is though:

I bet tonsixers would easily be able to match the CCI acid wash.

My understanding is that a tank should be hydroed after getting annoed, so FWIW, I would suggest waiting until your tank needs a hydro, then get it annoed and hydroed.

Most of the anno'd tanks floating around are CO2 tanks, but not really any reason you can't do a 13ci or 22ci tank. Getting a raw aluminum air tank would be preferable so it wouldn't need to be stripped, but I havn't seen one of those in a long while

from what i've gathered from other sources: any tank co2 or hpa under 2x2 doesn't need to be hydroed ever, stripping will not damage the tank so long as the abrasive used to strip isn't too rough, tonsixers says they can get close but haven't really shown me how close they can get

13ci and 22ci tanks are deliberately 2.1" in diameter. Must be hydroed.

Going to tell you the same thing here as I did on PBN, Tonsixers or FX anodizing would be who I recommend.

Here are my 2 3.5oz that Mike did when I asked him if he could do acid wash ano...he still hates me for that.
