This marker is FINISHED!!! Spyder Project

I figured I'd post this in a separate thread. This is what I've got so far. Almost All done by hand with files, and a little with a generic dremel, but the sears one-speed once again proved itself useless. Once I've got the shape roughed out I'll finish with sandpaper and smooth it out. Here's what I've got so far (I'm borrowing my dad's digicam, hence the decent pictures from me for once.)

I'm looking forward to the final product, might take a while with a file but it shows the love one had to put into it. Nothing really gets the same subtle features as a filed something or another either. Looks good.

Just get rid of the one-speed. Ive got 2 and theyre only useful for tight-space plumbing work.

I'm also thinking wood grips are a possibility for the project. I hope nobody minds me rigging up the bandsaw! XD

I am doing alot of hand fileing as well, tedious but worth it.
I really cant wait to see the results of this contest.

Keep up the good work.

I tried making a set of wood grips today, but I screwed 'em up. Sure I could salvage 'em for panel grips, but I don't want panel grips. I'm gonna give it a rest for the day.

Got some more of that chunk in front of the asa/under the valve tube. It'll take me another day or so to get it done, I put in almost six hours on it just to shave off half a centimeter, and still have about 3 or 4 mm to go before I can start rounding it off.

BTW: I relisted my Sheridan silver streak stock, if you buy it you can throw a sheridan paintgun in it, or have a Palmer Painter or Hurc built out of it. The money from that is gonna go to getting an Ano job for this gun.

Check into getting some new files, you should, with the right ones, be able to really tear it up with a file. Also, something that alot of people never realized, only drag the file in the one cutting direction. Dragging it backwards will dull them faster then you'd think.
