Is it possible to make adapter hydraulic fittings?

I know this isn't a paintball related thread, but I figured I'd ask this question regardless. I need to adapt a an4 female hose to a 12x1.0 female fitting. Is there anyway I could create this fitting, as nobody anywhere, except China has this fitting and I need it by the end of the week. I have an adapter that goes from the an4 to 12x1.5, but nobody I can find has 12x1.5 (male) to 12X1.0 (male). So my question is does anybody know how to make these fittings? Is it possible to do with a lathe? Without one? It is going on a hydraulic clutch setup if anybody is curious...thanks in advance for the help

you should be able to make it with a lathe.....

male/male shouldnt be too hard to do, just gotta figure out the overall length and work around it

sometimes you can take a couple off the shelf parts and get where you need to be

in the past for other projects, i've taken a male threaded plug, drilled/tapped it for some other female thread and solved problems like this

the trick will be to find a plug that sticks out of the 12x1.0 or is fatter up top

OR use a reducer and go like 14x1.0 plug into 14x1.0/12x1.0 reducer into the 12x1.0 end

soo

F an4
M an4/ M 12x1.5
drill/tap plug in a 14x1.0 to F 12x1.5 / M 12x1.0 reducer
F 12x1.0

make sense??

Maybe you can use 2 adaptors to create the connection you need. Like a 4an to ? And a ? To 12x1.0. If you have the space it may be your best bet.

See and that's exactly the weirdest part. No company sells anything that comes with an output of 12x1.0. So I couldn't even use several fittings to get what I need anyway. If I were to use a lathe how difficult would it be? What kind of tooling would I need?

Where are you located? I have turned things like this on a lathe, but the easier way would be if you could get the two ends you need together in steel, just cut the parts you need on a bandsaw and weld them back together. I have done this a lot and because a clutch typically only needs 600 psi to operate, even the thinnest of welds should be more than sufficient.

to do threading...

you need a turning tool to take it to the correct diameter
then you need a threading tool (triangle with a pointy finger hanging off) to do the threading

doin it on a CNC Lathe (how i do all my threading because im lazy)
would be turn, thread, done.

male M12x1.0 thread dim's

Minor Diameter 10.917/11.153
Pitch Diameter 11.350/11.510
Major Diameter 12.000/12.304

(all dim's in MM)

are you sure the 12mm isnt actually 1/2"?
