My eBolt 98 project.

About a year ago I bought a non working 98 custom with Psycho Ballistics eBolt for $105, over the last year I have been modifying, customizing and painting. A few days ago, after modding the 1 way ram (spring return) to a 2 way ram. I hooked up the mac43 solenoid to test out the ram and ensure the absence of leaks anywhere. I modded the vertical adapter fitting to put the lpr where one might usually find a volumizer from the lp kit. I have designed and plan to 3d print a custom trigger guard to hide the lpr hose. Tomorrow I'm ordering a universal t board from scenario dreams, and hope to have it up and running by the end of the month. I'll be posting pics of the process when I get to a computer. Here is a quick video of testing the ram and noid. I was able to trigger the noid with a small screwdriver.

Here's a YouTube video of me test firing the ram.

This past week, the universal t board from scenario dreams arrived, and I got it wired and everything installed into the grip. It was a tight fit but everything fit. I was going to place the membrane pad on the back of the grip. I couldn't figure out an easy way to do it so I placed it on the left side of the gun with enough slack to disassemble the gun. I went and played yesterday and took the E98 to the field with me to chrony it and make sure everything was in semi working order. I was able to get the velocity to 280. The board settings need tweaking to maximize ROF. (Dwell and debounce mainly) I ordered 2 QEVs last night to put on the ram to increase the cycle rate. This coming week I'm hoping to have in playable condition by installing the center feed, QEVs and getting the settings right.

That is the coolest 98 I've ever seen. Bravo to you and anyone that can program a board. That stuff is so voodo to me.

Unfortunately I didn't do the actual programming of the board. I bought the board kit from Scenario Dreams. I had to solder the LED, membrane pad, micro switch(trigger), battery connector, and solenoid (a Mac43 3 way solenoid). It was alot of work trying to get it all to fit.

Its an electro pneumatic poppet now. The bolt is still connected to the hammer but the hammer is controlled by a 3 way solenoid that directs airflow to the ram.
