| We'll she's here Matt's return to the custom gun business is official... (Like he would ever leave It's really a well thought out modern sheridan style rifle... I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.... Don't forgot you can get some optional setup's that Matt offers... Just ask... I wanted one just like he had invisioned... Stock barrel pics ![]() ![]() And the cool part... changeable barrels on a KP style rifle!!! * Note: this is not the barrel that comes with it.. PPS makes Brass barrels for CCI Phantoms now... 690 with Wedgits... ![]() ![]() This is how the stock class feed mounts... ![]() ![]() The new bolt and quick-pull slot... ![]() ![]() ![]() As far as how it works.... It shoots perfect.... Nice smooth action between the bolt and pump handle... Efficiency wise it's only got 25 rounds through it and that was the first 12 it's seen... Should only get better once it's broken in.... Truely is a piece of art... Matt's quality is of the highest around.. Machining skills are bar none... If you were wanted a KP style rifle and didn't like how the old ones were setup this is a BIG option for you... Talk to Matt as to what you were looking for and I believe he can do most anything you want... I wish I had a better camera to get some close-ups on the barrel threading and stuff... The craftsmenship is amazing... I'm very satisfied with this rifle and would recommend Matt without hesitations... Last edited by Latoolman; 10-06-2007 at 04:44 PM. |

| Question on the stock class feed mounts. Do you use both mounting holes or just the one in the back. Maybe, change directions of feed tube? I've done that with a hacked up KP that I'm working on but to be convertible stock/df. I was going to use a CCM series 5rf feed neck, but they are out of stock. Now I have to modify a Spyder feedneck to work. I wonder if Matt is going to make something like that? Brass feedneck would be cool. |

| Yeah it appears to have been in the thought process... It being on a KP style rifle it get's right into your eyes if you flip it around Rock Forward position... But your thought on the spyder type mount might be do-able... He used real thick tubing on the Top tube... easy to thread... but to get it to angle upward for DF, that might be challenging... ![]() EDIT: yeah if he made nice brass DF bolt-on part.... that would work.... MATT !!!!! we got work for you !!!! Last edited by Latoolman; 10-06-2007 at 05:20 PM. |

| MCB Member | Yes that second hole that is plugged on the the side is for either flipping the side tube around...orrrrrr ...mounting a Phantom stock feed orrrrr.. for a future df mount... but unless you really have to leave it in there...it is held in place with just a dab of blue locktight... Enjoy the gun and thanks for the great review... Humbly yours Matt

| MCB Member | I used my MAD Rifle #003 for many games this Saturday. I will write a basic review later about the function. I just wanted to quickly discuss the feed tube. I thought about turning it around, but then the feed hole would be upside down. I personally like the idea of turning it around though so Matt I ask... Will a Phantom feed tube attach with no modifications? If so, that would be awesome foresight on your part! Latoolman, you have made me want to get a PPS barrel for mine. That looks great! This gun is hands down the best buy I have ever made with paintball. Also, the most expensive, but that is beside the point. Matt, great work!! |
