Tiki Pump handle

With both of my other projects giving me endless grief (both my anodizing and gas through grip mechanical Ion make me want to break things) I thought I would tackle a third project.

This one turned out to be perfect for my 3D printer and I'm very happy with the end results.

The idol feels awesome in hand and the stroke is very smooth as well. Now if only I could get consistent results from this Lightning...

I'm not planning on selling them or painting it. The feel of the raw plastic in hand is pretty awesome and I plan on playing with it. The reason I don't plan on selling them is it took me four attempts (at 6 hours per attempt) to get a final print that worked.

Here's a family photo with the failed attempts.

As for future projects... I'm not really sure what to do yet. I made dog tags for my team but I'm not very talented with creating models. To make this one, I started with this free model from Thingiverse, resized it and put holes in it. I made the holes a little under sized then drilled them out on my drill press.

Thanks for all the compliments though.

You not wanting to make them for sale will not deter mcb'ers
