Modding a cyclone for other marker

Would it be possible to modify a cyclone feed system to work with a electronic solenoid?

Thanks
*Part of my 08 big project*

Allenpaintball has something similar... It would be possible, but would be cheaper just to get a Halo.

No not interested into the allen paintball turbo loader and it not compatible because I don't want to put it on a low end.

It is also because people will all think I am crazy with something different then a Tippmann :P why not fooling them also? hehehe

Switch the air/pulse the air to the cyclone with a solenoid valve or are you physicly wanting to turn the cyclone with a solenoid?

The later is physicly possibly for shure, but the power consumption will kill bateries in a heartbeat.

hehehe and I put that in my backpack? :P

If I could take a grabs on a universal board that can take 2 solenoid? would it work. How much airflow it need for the solenoid to work with the extra air the tippmann can release?

I dont know how much pressure is required or the volume. But what your also most likely going to need are a pulse valve and buffer chamber((s) to control the volume of the pulse), in addition to the solenoid valve and board. Im not shure if the the delay in operating the pulse valve will keep up with the cycle rate of any semi auto. It could be sped up with the addition of a QEV, but Im still not so shure it will keep up. If your going to be putting it on a blowback, you might as well just use the excess gas as tippmann does. If its some other marker you might be able to swap the Cyclones ram for a dual acting one and control it that way. You could possibly rig the cyclone up to a spring (as in the star feed on the tippmann F/A) and then control the thing with a solenoid directly.

Without actualy sitting down and building somthing its hard to say if any of it will work.
