Tippmann TMC Mods

I still have to wait for my TMC so iīm thinking about what could i do with it !?!?!?

I like to cut the front to install my Flatlinebarrel also the stock core to have a better aim cause masks still donīt fit with real looking markers(stocks) , a RT would makes it in combination with boxmag pretty cool one of the M4 BB Tippmann would be nice or D.I.Y. we will see.
Build a new grip with two metal plates as Basement with an ASA like SL68 etc. got would be also an Option, but i would install the ASA in same line like the Barrel so may could use tank as stock !?!?!?

Mill or cut the mag inside to fit ca. 10 Rounds FS into and prepare the breach entry too. May the bolt tip Needs to be modified cause to big Diameter or cause of much space in the breach !?!?!?

I am curious why there is a flat on the side of the hammer?

I think itīs cause to build the Frame stronger in that area. The hammer gets stopped by only the right Shell of the Body, if itīs weak it will break after X-Rounds !!!

It looks like the hammer is turned 90 deg.

Lots of cool mods possible with this model.

The cuts on the side of the hammer are there because it moves back into the stock when the gun fires a couple of inches. What would you use for the RT in that small of a space. I really like the Asa back bottle idea.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is not enough room to work with. The standard air line is 1/4" OD, and the hex head on a 1/8" npt fitting is actually 1/2". It looks like you only have 1/4" total space to work with between the receiver screw. You could use smaller tubing and fittings, but finding space while keeping the strength to support a tank and stock is still going to be a nightmare.
I also don't know of any pneumatic cylinder that is small enough to fit into that area, let alone one that would run on 250+ PSI. If you do manage to find one that fits, the fittings sticking out if the cylinder will also pose a problem. You would have to run a 98 powertube with the r/t fitting out of the back, and also run the r/t line out of the back like they do on the 98. That way you could also run a flow control valve for the response trigger.

It would be awesome if you could pull it off. I'm not one of those people that say it can't be done, I just don't think the outcome is worth the battle in this case.

The Tacamo Blizzard is retail $200. with 5 mags included, which is the same price as the Tippmann TMC. The Blizzard will make a better platform for the response trigger. There are also some aftermarket air stocks for the 98 style markers. They run the line externally, some of them also drop down 1" - 2" depending on the design.

It sounds expensive, but so is modding a marker. All of the milling bits, pneumatic parts, air fittings, barbs, hoses, and adapters add up quick. So do the hours put into a project like that. And if it is not tastefully done it will only decrease the value of the marker.

For a D.I.Y. RT i would take some pipe in Diameter ? but as big as possible for max. force(first Need to have look at my TMC when she arrives), Close one side to get a cylinder than build a Piston out of a srew and some washers(3, and one with smaller Diameter to fit in an O-Ring) and a nut which holds all together. Build a gasline with small pipe or use a hose and install Fittings or weld it with cylinder. Gasflow will be adjusted by press the pipe or the hose.

Would be nice to see the valve internals to see where i can grab the pressure for the RT. But it canīt be that much different !!!

Yes this marker got some better(easier) Options to mod. but it Looks much stranger i think, itīs not a bad marker cause same engine !!!

I still don't think there will be enough room, but I wish you luck.

Paintball Tippmann Custom 98 Black Alu Power Tube+ Derlin Bolt free shipping | eBay
This is the power tube out of a 98. It has the 10/32" port for the response trigger. The valves should be the same internally, but externally they are different. To get the tmc valve to fit you will have to chop down the 98 powertube a bit. The r/t port will allow air to pass through once the rear bolt hits the valve pin. The power tube is most likely the only thing that will have to be changed. You will have to drill a hole in the back of the marker for the r/t port, assuming there is nothing in the way. I have no idea what that thing is that sticks out the back of the marker.

I also just realized that there are holes in the back of the 98 powertube. You will have to check out the valve and see if it will line up well enough to block them, fill them, or possibly drill & tap the valve housing to utilize the screw holes.

I prefer to use numatics flow control valves, but that is just me. They are on ebay for anywhere from $7. - $15. without the 1/16" barb. You will probably want to go with 1/16" line because the cylinder will be less than half the size of a normal response trigger.
The flow control is what will allow you to sweet-spot the trigger.

Thanks !!! If ... iīd like to try install the RT Gasline intern and also i go try spend as less Money as possible so i will go try use whatīs already there. Drill a hole in the powertube isnīt a big act for example !

I go like the idea with SL-Style Grip more and more, easier build and more space for fat masks(lenses) !!!

Here the idea:

Simple cut the gasline and bring it to straight angle and build two sheetmetal plates to use the stock holes and screws,. How much stock core could get cut ??? i Need to have a look first red line for shure and the green i think so !?!?!? Grip must be build complete but than you got all Options (size, look etc.)

The M4 RT fits into the BB M4 so it should fit into the TMC i think !?!?!?

Tippmannparts want 15$ for cylinder and Piston mmhhh would be the cheapest RT ever, shure Fittings and hose are some extra costs but still cheap !!!
