Beautiful. Consider wedgting one..

Those look too thin for sl68 without the aluminum and the pump handle will be sloppy too without an extended sleeve to make it right.

68 Special foregrips are the right ID to work, if you can find them. They have a hole in the correct spot for the pump rod too.

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

I will definitely give it a try when WALZ is settled in Idaho. Your balls fall through a .680 in your neck of the woods?

Not sure as of now. I'm going to have to put these through the ringer, considering the titanium is about the same size as a freak insert. If they work out, they won't be too far off from the cost of a custom brass Palmers barrel.

Locally, the Marbilizer is rolling through .680, and just barely sticks in a .675.

When you go to do the wedgits, remember that titanium has a very high modulus of elasticity, and resists bending/deformation. Read that, you may have to hit it a lot harder than you expect you should have to.

How are you bonding the aluminum to the titanium?

Brass Freak, Freak XL compatible and Equation inserts in .670, .678, and .685 (As I no longer have access to the machine to make certain sizes, I will not be replacing any which go out of stock.)

Still selling brass tubing, with .678 barrel stock now available!

My feedback: MCB - eBay - AO

Dayum. I'll definitely report with the results.

Some sort of glue/epoxy. What would you use if you were me?

Shrink fit... I would machine the aluminium ID slightly undersized and then heat it to fit over the titanium. Once the aluminium cools, the joint should be pretty permanent.

Take a look at "shrink fit tooling" for machine tool holders. It offers an insight into what I mean.

Yeah .680 is roll out over here with marble sized balls from overseas.

Interference fit as ty proposed is the best for sure it will never ever move.
