PMI-1 stock feed

Ok, I have decided to commision Mindt Machining to make my stock feed to my specifications.

Now, here is my question, should I mount it as a front (PPS SS) or rear (Phantom'ish) feed?

I cannot decide, but I do know that the only stock feed I have used is front, so that is what I am used to.

Edit: Also, how would I go about tuning the valve? And will a hardware store o-ring work in the vavle? I'm asuming not, becuase it needs to handle liquid.

It's a personal decision. I prefer the phantom feed over the sheridan, feels most natural since I played most of my years with nelson styles.

I wasnt aware that a SS was changeable, after all, I am too poor to own that cadillac...

What I think I will do is set it up as a rear feed, since I'm accustomed to loading it from the rear, and if I just dont like it, I can always unsolder it, and flip it around!

Now, while I'm here, Rainman229, you could help me a bit here.... What is the best heat sourse to use for soldering? The propane torch I have is sorta, well, lets just say it is 'blunt'...

Personally, I like pistols to rock back and long/stocked guns back.

I prefer tiping the marker back, however a good friend of mine needs it to rock forward as whenever he had to bunker somone it already pointed down and just needs to be pumped.

I have concluded to stick with rock-back. It is what I am accustomed to, and with my sprained wrist/thumb, I can't rock-forward/down to cock the bugger. And, I cant pop off shots faster rocking back... sometimes, fleeing works.

Edit: Shorter profile too.

Also, what is the best way to remove solder from brass?
I have tried melting it, then rubbing it with a coarse leather glove. All that did is polish it nicely.

removing the solder. i use heat and a sponge to get as much off as posible. then i sand the rest off.

once solder is on brass it only comes off fully by sanding
