Final Spyder build off pictures.

Apoligies to everyone who posted already in the previous thread. I was trying to help out by copying some of the posts from prior threads into one and managed to kill the whole thread accidentially.

Since I am a moron aparently, (just ask my wife, she'll tell you for sure) I throw myself on the mercy of the court and ask pretty please if you guys can post again. I've copied over all the posts I can find that have finished (or as finished as it's gonna get with the deadline) pictures.

Pillage's Spyder project

Here is my my Spyder project marker. It's in the under $25 category. It's not a Spyder per say, but a Raptor. I removed the powerfeed and made a low tech (crappy looking) spring feed magazine for it. I used a binding spring from a spiral bound notebook as the magazine spring, and low and behold it actually works. The body and barrel were bead blasted, but thats as far as I got due to work. The grips were made out of Walnut by me. I was planning on making a drop in Walnut stock for it, but I ran out of time due to work this month .http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...nch =imgAnch5 In the photo the mag follower has be removed,( I couldn't find were I put it this morning when I took the pictures.).
Here's the rundown on the cost.
1.I bought this marker from Dan Bacci last year for $15
2. One spiralbound notebook for use as a mag spring $.89
3. Everthing else I had laying around or did myself.
Now how about an extention to finish this?

Goat's Spyder project

It is unfinished due to lack of free time and prior obligations. Figured I would throw a few pictures up anyhow, Just to show where I am at this point. Its all dremel and Drill press work, and its not finished at that...so excuse the rough look please.

Its amazing what you get when you cross a Viewloader Genesis, A $5 desk lamp from Goodwill and an old shower curtain rod. I will still finish this just to use it in a few games and show it off.
Once complete it is getting an old school rat rod paintjob, Flat black with red and silver Highlights. I plan on including the 4 suits from a deck of cards in silver with the phrase "All In" stenciled behind/ through them.

O.K. Enough talk, Here are the photo's

The Concept drawing

The execution, the hammer is already slotted (you'll see that Down below)
I cut the feed tube from an old Shower curtain rod that was in the shed..10 round tubes slide right in until they hit the 2 rings near the top..Then Friction hold it in.

The Lever connection point, I removed the safety and used the hole to bolt the bracket to .The Bracket is made out of an old door stop I had laying around and one of the hinge points from the $5 desk lamp.

ptle's Spyder project

Thats how it started off as... $35 bucks from Chem-x over on SCP.
After a change of a few parts. Some money into it. Some dremeling this is what came out of it.

Costs....

(4) parts
- Lapco Bigshot
- Bob Long Regulator
- Sterling Duckbill ASA
- System X grips

I got the revy for basically $9 dollars shipped.
Macro parts costed me $9 dollars shipped.
Misc. screws and hose clamps... even though I had these parts already I know they wouldn't have cost more than $7 dollars.
Oh and I did the dremeling myself.

So this goes into the $25 dollar category.

Robertsr's Spyder project

I hand carved 3-D flames on the rear of the body, lightened bolt (by damn near 1/3), bought a ball feed, and DuraCoated all the incidental parts to save money on anno. I put the reg on there because I'm totally out of plain ASA's .

I have $14.00 and change in parts for the gun with the ball feed and replacing all the screws with stainless ones, so this is an under $25.00 entry. Everything else came from the bench.

Flame detail.

Other side flame detail.

Total cost of the project including marker, anno and shipping was $58.07. I have about 8 hours of work in it all told.

Blue and silver acidwashed VL-Orion
Once more proving you can get a working paintball gun for less than a drop forward.

VL Orion 19.99 from I&I sports.
I don't have time to get to a mill this month, so I am submitting this guy in the under 25 dollar catagory.
Anodizing done in house.

well I know it's not a stack tube blowback, but it is this months project for me. chem-x sold me an alleycat (in bad shape) at PP3 for $5. so needless to say I had to do something fun with it.

to start with the vert-air adapter was missing. the ICD verts are quite prioritary, so one day at work while checking up on a few guns we had sent out for repair, I asked them if they had any.......they basicaly laughed at me. so i decided to plug the port for the asa:

http://lexiones.googlepages.com/Pict...re018-full.jpg

so after that was done i noticed that the gun was really looking like a pistol, so i just went from there and for $10 I got an ariakon acp feed. i shaved down the springfeed so that it would mount on the the dovetail that ran almost the full length of the gun.

since the gun is powerfeed(and the powerfeed screwed onto the gun) not much milling was required to make it into a vertical feed marker.

http://lexiones.googlepages.com/Pict...re016-full.jpg

from here the springfeed could just slide into place. all that needed to be done now was to tune the blowback and velocity, and the gun was all set.

so if this is enterable i suppose it would be in the under $25
gun $5
stickfeed $10
barrel free(thanks to my boss)
m-16 grip free (already had one)

$15 total

VVVVV i'm not cutting down a lapco barrel...even if it was free

Oooooo. That is nice! Cut that barrel down to 6 inches and throw a 12 gram adapter on the back and I'll bet it's even holsterable.
