Legions new Cnc lathe and Precision lathe

Sorry for the delays on responses for work i have been busy upgrading my shop.

I recently aquirred a emco pc cnc 5 lathe and a Graziano Tortona sag 12 lathe, as well as a ton of tooling. this is going to speed up production and capabilities.

emco cnc

Sag 12

Combined value about 15,000.

Time to get crazy and make some real products now.

the brochure reads well.... 1" spindle bore .75HP and tool turret
That should hold you for awhile...

maybe I can put dibs on sloppy seconds with the EMCO... more in my budget range

sure

i suspect ill have that lathe with in a month or two i will certainly let you know if i decided to part with the emco...to tell the truth i am very impressed with this little machine.

quite capable for a machine that was made in the 80's, i am updating the software, But it threads and holds tolerances i cannot dream of on my manuals.

Yeah I'm doing some bolt runs on my manual Grizzly and I can't seem to get the tailstock to stay put... I keep getting a taper.... very small but annoying.... .682 to .685 at the other end maybe 10" ... You get what you pay for

true true...but i sure see some amazing work on manual machines, .

my problem is now i am selling in quanties that require more speed, not to mention i picked up a few local non paintball contracts.
I see these go around 1300 to 2000 and i can honestly say with a little work they are worth purchasing.

G4003G ... I think I just figured out why I'm messing up.... I should be drilling the center hole for the live center with the material closer to the chuck..... I've been doing it too far away .... DUH !!!

Cut me some slack... I'm still learning

lol well dont feel bad, its amazing how many little things can go wrong when trying to hold close tolerances...show me a machinist who says he hasn't made a setup mistake and i'll show you a liar.

I ran some test cuts on the sag 12 today, and all i can say is wow. I am so excited to have this amount of accuracy available to me.
