That sounds like a Bad headline waiting to happen. One stuck reg or fat finger on the controls and you could easily blow something up. Burst disks work well for overfilled or over pressurized tanks. But a supercooled liquid rapidly expanding due to the addition of a compression-heated gas could result in an extreme pressure spike, possibly leading to a catastrophic tank failure.
If i saw someone hooking my CO2 tank up to a HPA set-up i'd tell them no thank you.
