| ^^^ Actually, the Rainmaker has the valve in the same tube as the hammer and carrier. The only difference is the air is routed through a bolt on a top tube. ![]() Is it really THAT different? The only reason I'm pushing this so hard is it's the only thing I have a chance to enter, and I need an excuse to do something to my RM. |

I know how Rainmakers work. I said "The valve is in a different tube..." Referring to the valve being in a different tube then the bolt. Yes, they are that different. Different number of tubes, different valve arrangement, different bolt assembly, different hammer assembly, etc. When you get down to it, the only real things they share is the sear layout, and the rear facing valve. When you get down to details, they are very different designs. I suggest starting a Rainmaker/Sterling build-off. I know a lot of members have them, and could be a great chance for some cool creations. Maybe some new pump rainmakers, or the so called "Painmakers." We just can't let Rainman enter. ![]()
