Nelson projects SNY Commando, Nelspot 007 Here are my entries for the Spring Nelson Project build Project 1 is one of two (well three if you count the one I picked up for my brother, the second on has been allready started on so Ill use this one for documentain instead, kill two birds with one stone) SNY Commandos ( from MadLarkin/Cousins paintball ) This project will double as a detailed investigation of the SNY Commandos, which could in fact actualy be the long lost WGP Pro45 (however since very little is known of the pro45 its impossible to tell) What is known is that the first WGP Commandos were built for the home team of Survival New York. From my commumications with MadLarkin, it has been determined that these were ordered by the feild owner specificly so that they could swap the barrels between the rental fleat which consisted of WGP snipers at that time, at a time when the Commando didnt exist (or at least none except possibly the origonal 15 "Prize" Commandos built for the Master Blasters) Because of the lack of infor on the Pro 45 and becuase from looking at these up close they obviosly arent Commandos, I have decided to label these "SNY Commandos". Either way, In my opinion, these are some of the rarest WGP guns in existance, and likely the only ones you'll ever see are from Madlarkins/Cousins Sale. There will be a very deatiled breakdown of this SNY Commando in particular which will also detail the complete resoration of this gun. (With the exception of possibly using lapco guts, just because I like them ) Also If anyone has pictures of the 3/4 wrap pump found on the Prize Commanos Id LOVE to see those, but for the time being the gun will sport a WGP Ranger pump. Project 2, which will also be documented in this thread (allthough not anywhere to the same extent) is a Nelspot 007. I have not decided the derection of the project yet, however it will feature a brass barrel for shure. And will probly feature the origonal feed tube as Im just too fond of the way they look.

| Ooh, this will be interesting. I also plan on restoring one of those for the build off. I'll pick mine up tonight! Ok, I got mine! I haven't started any work on it yet, only tried to take it apart to see what state the internals are in. Now I'm wondering, this thing is supposed to have a removable barrel, correct? Cause mine seems to be stuck in really really hard...

Yup removabel barrel, you'll need to pick up some "Rust Breaker" at your hardware store and soak the threads for a few minutes ( alternitivly you could use some penitrating lube, but I never liked getting PB gear oily with the stuff). After removing all the guts, insert a 1" wide peice of flat stock (long enought to hold on to) through the cocking slots. With some ruber in a vice (or a strap wrench) turn the barrel while holding on to the flatstock/gun body. Should come right out.

Okay here is the breakdown photo of the SNY commando, internals are usable but the sear is shot, and since they arent what came with this (well at least the bolt isnt, they are geting replaced, probably with lapco guts, however Ive got a bolt thats very WGP esque so I might use that. Powertube is a # 4 on both my SNY Commandos (have yet to check my brothers) Also the bolt sits further forward that most nelsons from looking at it, but I have yet to measure this here is the picture of the fraim rail milling, its clean milled its just gunked up in this photo. Here is a pictue of the extra tapped hole for additional set screws (accessed via the frame milling) Last edited by Al Ray; 04-03-2008 at 07:03 PM.

looks like an old house gun just looking up stuff about the master blasters from ny and found this place. never thought i'd see one of those old guns this day and age. that gun you have looks like an old rental gun we used to use at survival ny. my old nelspot looks similar to that but modified like the termite. do you see many termites around? that was one of the guns the blasters used except for dave and rosie, they liked the carter comp( think that was it). pretty cool seeing some old stuff around. later - dana

Thanks for the info guys. Im still working on this, but It wont be finished by the deadline. For the rocord this gun was a former SNY rental gun, or at least spent some of its time as one. The gun(s) was(were) built specificly for SNY, or so im told. Im still trying to track down an appropriate pump handle for it. Ive got one that I can modify to look very much like the early production commando pumps, but Im still looking. If you have any more info on these guns Dana, let me know. Dont see too many termites, but thats most likely because the crowd here on MCB owns most every gun imaginable. One member even claims to have seen the prototype USI destroyer Last edited by Al Ray; Yesterday at 10:57 PM.
