Redoing Hardlining on a Piranha SB

Hey guy,

Has anyone here ever redone the hardlining on a Piranha SB. I just purchased two SB's from another forum member and planning on doing some custom to them. The current hardlining on Piranha SB's looks something like this, right?

Well it's functional, it doesn't look the greatest. I'm wondering if it would be possible to replace the hardlining with some cleaner looking hardlining, something similar to the hardlining on a phantom. As far as I can tell, (don't have the markers yet, so judging from the above picture of another marker), the current hardlining threads appear smaller than those of a phantoms hardlining. I should be able to drill and tap for larger threads and install a hardining much more like a phantom, right?

Cheers'

Phantom hardline fittings are are threaded for 1/4 npt whereas the SB screws are 10-32. Check this thread for some discussion.

Read the thread MrJr, some good info and retapping it was mentioned, they also mentioned using a palmers 10-32" to 1/4" adapter, unfortunitly it seems as though the threads on the adapter were not long enough to reach the valve. Anyone know more about this?

Correction 1/8" NPT.

If you look around you may be able to find a replacement air line thats made from aluminum key stock. They look much better. My SB came with one.

You can kinda see it in this picture.

It looks good, but I'd prefer the SS Hardline instead.

I'll know more when I get my SB's.

Those fittings have a 9/64" (.140) thread grip depth (the same as the stock sheridan banjo bolts on the back bottle guns),the wall thickness on a LB is about .155".
So they should be as strong as the factory air lines as far as the threads in the body at least and the list them in Stainless steel and brass.

Things on my WTB list are:
Autococker threaded Nelson body
Aerostar Assassinator pump handle or whole gun/kit
Assault Line "L" stock for Nelson or sheridan P series.
Send me a PM if you have any of these to sell.

My feedback

Sounds good, I'm gonna try and get a sample piece before I place any orders to see if it'll work, I'll let you know how it works out.

Before I make a sample order, what's a good size of hardline to use, the OD on my Phantom Hardline is .155; but it seems I can only get the compression valve in 1/16 OD, 1/8 OD or 1/4 OD pipe. What's my best choice for hardlining? I'm guessing wither 1/8 or 1/4 OD pipe.

Also, does anyone know the OD on the SS Hardline PPS carries?
