Double Barreled Nasty Nellie

Here are some pics of my most in depth project so far. I Started out with some Nelspot bodies i had purchased a long time ago off Bacci. Then w/ some more parts i had laying around, and some custom parts/work am putting together a double barreled Nelspot007. I'm pretty sure these body's were quicksplotch bodies as they had removable barrels that were welded in and DF tubes welded on. The rest of my internals, and bucket changers and feedblocks will be in hopefully early this week. It is Bolt Action, will use phantom style feedblocks w/ 10rnd tubes stuck in them, may go w/ a feedtube and feedgate if the tubes pop out on me much, we will see. The pics are kind of a process of starting to where it sits now, early ones are held together mostly by tape, haha. It is now welded together and mostly done.

I will be building the last piece to it today, then this week hopefully i will get the nuts for the feedblocks welded on and then get velocity dialed in.

Great progress on this one! I'm really can't wait to see the finished product. I'm going to say go with the feedtubes and ballgates. It will look much cleaner.

Looking cool! I'm liking the spike on the trigger guard... nice little touch. Central Southern Upstate NY, it says you're from... maybe this summer might catch this beast at a field. I'm from the Albany area, myself.

Thanks for the compliments guys, i really appreciate it. I just got all my parts in this morning for it, so its really close to being done. I wish i had gotten my MCB membership earlier and saw the Nelson Buildoff Competition as this would have been my entry, oh well, i'll throw something else together.

I play mainly at Adrenaline Zone Paintball in West Oneonta/Otego. Its a nice small field, great fascilities, good fields and very reasonable prices.

FYI those bodies arent quicksplotch, they are just hacked stock 007s. The barrels werent removable either, they are spot welded from the factory.

Looking seriously nice thus far, keep up the good work

I have a Quicksplotch8007 and a Nelspot 007 w/ the horizontal feeds and the Nelspot is the only one w/ a solid one piece barrel/body, the quicksplotch is the only one w/ the removable barrel via drilling out the spot welds, both of the bodies on this double barreled project had the inner sleeve barrel in them. But i drilled out the welds and punched out the short, rusted steel barrel. I didnt mean they are threaded or anything, just not one solid piece. Were there Nelspot bodies that had the barrels spot welded in like sleeve? I know there was a few clones of the Nelspot back in the day. I have another i am doing for the Nelson Buildoff that is one piece of solid steel. I am not a big expert on all this i just like to tinker. I hope to buy more bodies to modify. I am still learning a LOT as i go, this project is the one i am most excited about so far, i really want to build a few more and maybe sell them, but if i do they will have cocker threaded body's for the sake of barrel choices.

Almost all nelspots manufatured for paintball have a spot welded barrel. Only early versons are one piece, and most of those were pre paintball, aka Forestry, or the very rare 3 tack Nelson. All in all there were around 7 revisions of the 007, However they are commonly lumped into four versions, plus the 3 tack.
