| While i was waiting for the JB weld to cure on the trigger tray, i was looking at the body of the traccer, and the CGW website. I realized how much i disliked the look of bolt guide slot on the left side (the hole where the pump arm is anchored through). so i started to explore some ideas. first i tried to use some bondo. I used some tape on the inside and backed it with the bolt and hammer so that the bondo wouldn't affect the I.D. ![]() next i filled the hole with the bondo... ![]() then i sanded it... (surprise surprise) ![]() the problem was that the bond didn't attach well enough to hold. i could push it out with my fingers... i got a really nice plug the shape of the hole, but that does me no good (obviously) S now what?...so after talking to my roommate who's done a fair amount of boat repair, we decided to use JB weld. . we adapted a gel coating technique to the the project application. i backed the inside with tape and then the internals so that the JB doesn't push in too far (no need for another picture of that). Then i filled the hole with the paste (notice the glove!)![]() My buddy then helped apply a low tac paper around it (no pressure on the fill its self). and it seems to be the hardest thing in the world not to touch it while it's setting. you can see my makeshift set up to keep the hole upright. ![]() is there a faster way to get this stuff to set? i seem to remember someone saying something about baking it? or have i just lost my mind? we'll see if i ruin this body... if nothing else, i got to play with a bunch of chemicals... yay? cheers

| nelson fanboy | couldnt you keep the slots, and make a right angled slot on both of them for the bolt action's turning operation, and use a 1" ID tube to carry your bolt handle, and cut it so that the sear still can activate?

| I was considering that idea, Ive seen some other people do some great work with that concept, but my little experiment was a complete success. This worked out so well I can't even begin to explain. here are the after pics I really couldn't have hoped for anything better. I wish I took a picture before I had sanded it, but oh well. ![]() ![]() all I had to do was sand it lightly by hand, and now it's smoother than a babies bottom. Again, I can't help but be impressed by the results. Now I gotta get back to the trigger tray... wish me luck... cheers

| So it's been a while. I've been busy with my non paintball life (shocking i know). did this a while ago, but i never got around to posting it. Here i just set up the piece of aluminum angle for the trigger assembly. This was harder than i expected without the proper tools. ![]() I taped the trigger frame to the aluminum to set up a mock cutting jig, which worked out really well actually, i just had to dremmel the one edge to make it fit perfectly. ![]() all in all i'm pretty happy with the work. next i need to start the cam to activate the sear, and can't start anything else... so it's going to be a bit before anything else i think cheers

| It's update time (Yah!)... so i've got a very rought idea on how i'm making the sear work, but i'm gonna revisit that once my stock is ready to take the traccer... so that ment time to work on the stock its self. so i started this last summer, cut the stocks, and then they sat in a closet, so here are some pictures of the rough outline. ![]() ![]() ![]() before sanding i drilled some holes to mount the ASA onto as well as a hole to attach the Bi-pod i got... and after about 2 hours with a sander i got it to look like! ![]() that large gouged section will be sanded and cleaned up with a dremel soon! ![]() so i just have to cut the grove so i can drop the traccer in, then make a well for the trigger assembly to fit, and i'm almost done! minus the paint work cheers
