My Nelson Build Off Gun..... Kinda Sorta.

Project Type : Custom...... DUH!

Well so far there you have it....

Chop saw'ed breach drop body, I had cut it down from 14 inches to 5 inches years back because I needed a chunk of barrel stock and these nelson bodies were disposable items.

Lapco internal set and pump screw.. parts bin special I had it

Grips... Ive had both laying around and one pair will end up on this gun.

Valve bits are lapco jet set #2.

Whats missing................. Alot. Well no.

1/4 inch plate is going to be the slider trigger

1/2 inch X 1.25 inch bar stock is going to be the frame rail

And that huge chunk of massive 6061 (FOUND IN A DUMPSTER NON THE LESS DUMPSTER DIVING FTW!!) Is going to be the pump, and other goodies for the gun. As is its 1.5 inch thick by 9 inches long by 6 inches wide with some random holes and a cut here and there....... Who care it was free!

Im still waiting on some other aluminum to show up for the grip frame and feed rail.

What am I up to?????? Im making my own superstock/box gun with some tweaks for my own likeing mainly a bucket changer built into the grip frame not the drop out in the frame.

In progress pics will be posted.

Ooo, Aaaaa. I am loving those grips, especially the black widow ones. Sounds like this is going to turn out really awesome, I look forward to seeing it finished.

Whats that little round bit on the bolt?

I follow this simple formula..

Parts on hand + cost of aluminum + cost of more tooling = A

Buying a new carter box gun = B

If A is less then B then DIY

Im getting ahead of myself today and making the pump. Im still wating on stuff to show up so I can get going on it fully but aleast with the pump made I can toss it on my nelly for this week ends pump game.

Update : April 8 2:35 am

Well this has been done since saturday night but Im lazy...

This will be as far as this pump gets untill I get the rest of the gun worked on... I want to do a funky feed tube for it that make be a guide rod for the pump..

While this gun is going to be a Box Gun clone its also not going to be... There will be Alot of tweaky style improvements to the original one.

Edit: Also.. Ghost Machine.......... BEST industrial band ever!
