I remember having a set or two of these back in the 90's. I'll have to see if the field that I used to play at still has theirs, as they were rentals. It would be a good place to get the masks for modification.

Good evening all! I was unable to find an 3/32" to 1/8" thick perforated aluminum locally today, so I'll have to buy it from a supplier. From the looks of it, the aluminum will cost about $30-$45 a sheet, depending on shipping, and I will only be able to make one mask from it.
I felt pretty bummed about the lack of finding aluminum, so I built a sick little electro out of parts I had lying around. Ran out of air before I could align the sear trip. Oh well.
I'm going to order some samples of the aluminum from multiple manufacturers tomorrow and monday. Hopefully, I'll have the materials needed soon.

Do you have an estimated price, should you sell these?

Good news, everyone! I found a source for the aluminum, and it is at a reasonable price. I will order it, and the edging, tomorrow. I am hoping to have three prototypes available within 2 weeks. I am thinking of having one look like my current mask, but I'll make the others each look a little different. I'm unsure if trhere's exactly enough material to make three masks, but we'll just have to find out! I will be keeping one of them, as my current one is getting on in years, and has a few cracks from being manhandled.
Pricing will be set once I shape and cut them. (Also, I'll look into finding what other goggle frames can be fitted. I was thinking a newer z-leader...)

It sounds like a good idea. I really want to use more up-to-date lenses, as spectra's can be hard to find at some places, and I really want to offer a variety or optons. I don't have (or have seen up close) a pair of i3's, but I'll be sure to take a look at a pair when I head over to my local shop to get air fills within the next few days.

The most simple mask to use is probably a JT flex type, since they're modular.

Spectra lenses are fairly easy to find around here, and shops usually have *nothing* in the way of lenses...

if you are woried about that, us the 'Elite' series of lenses... they'll never go out of style
