Some Electro Questions

hey all, i am new to mcb, so be gentle if this is in the wrong forum.
i am a long time player (ballin since 91), and own several guns (7 that are actually working at this point, i have a few that are gutted and waiting on the motivation to kick in to work on them or send to a b/s/t forum to find them a better home)

first question: what exactly is an mq valve?
i am guessing that it is an electro-fired valve that does not need a solenoid to fire it, that in theory could be triggered, in theory, something as simple as an inteli-frame by agd

second question: morlock boards. what exactly are they and how tunable are they for different markers.

third question: why are pneu-mags such a big hit? (non electro question, i know) i mean what is the point of putting a pneu-frame on an x-valved marker? from what i understand the x-valve has a reactiveness that is like on any rt mag valve.
pay attention here, because i am not knocking anyones hard work on their beautifully made custom mags, and have been a huge fan of agd for years, but i may just be ignorant of the function of the parts.

thanks to all

mQ- It is an electronically controlled poppet-valve. Its a variation on a traditional sprinkler-valve, using the pressure itself to assist in opening the poppet.

Morlocks- They are a "generic" board, designed to run any electro. Very tunable, though the company has more or less folded. The best sutable replacement is the Universal T-Board, by scenerio dreams.

Pneumags are automags with fully pneumatic trigger. That means that pulling the trigger only actuates a light 3-way valve, and that valve controls a ram that actually does all the work.
The benefit is an extremely light trigger. Nearly as light as an electro. The problem is they are more complicated, and expensive to build then an electro, thus electros are more popular.

The quirk with automags is the much hyped E-Mag/X-Mag were killed by Smart Parts, then the much hyped factory Pneumags were killed by... someone else. But pneumags can be built by anyone, so they have become a very attraction option.
