Tactical Pump Mod (WIP)

Well guys, I'm about half way done with this piece. So here's what I got now that it is really starting to take shape. Basically a Short Pump machined to accept M-16 / Phantom Frames. The pictures pretty much say it all. I've got the major stuff out of the way, all that really remains is slimming down the area for the grip so it fits and getting rid of the excess aluminum. I'll probably end up drilling and tapping 2 holes on each side parallel with the barrel to mount some picatinny rails. Also planning on fitting my longbow kit and a stock onto the same phantom. It'll be a fun woods-ball marker for this summer.

Cheers'

Took me a second to realize what you had there..I like it..Had to actually turn my head to the side.

Cool, I look forward to seeing the end result.

I always liked the vert kinda tactical pump handle thing, screwed some weaver rail onto a phantom pump handle once to do the same thing.

Well the pump went on a diet today, probably took around 1/3 of the aluminum off. For the most part, the cosmetic work is done, may mill some slots; it's still a little hefty. Other than that, all that remains is thinning the area for the grip to slide over. Just gotta check the radius and order the endmill if I don't have it on hand.

Look at that piece shine...

Have you test it with the grip on ? It almost looks like it might contact the 12gram changer when you pump back.

Looks sweet though, I can see it being pretty neat if you had some sort of tube holder coming out the front under the barrel to hold 2 or 3 tubes.

Not yet, but I intend on making a longer pump after this to accomidate the vertical pump better.

Then we're worry free .. it's just hard to visualize, given the rake of the grip and of the 12 gram changer.
